Great article. I was unemployed during Covid for a season due to school closings and it was extremely challenging. It was either continue to work or abandon my 11 year old daughter and leave her to supervise and educate herself. I chose to thug it out with her with a very brave Mommy face. She thought all the time she was spending with me was amazing. In her heart, we never missed a beat and her life continued as usual. I would "smh" at those unemployment checks and knew it all would be okay. Some how it ALL was but there were plenty of nights, I was not.
